Installation of new water lines throughout the property has begun and will continue for the next five to six weeks in to March.
The new lines will be installed down the entrance road, along the north fence line and cutting across the parking lot. A temporary gravel access road is being built per the image above. This access will be in place for approximately five to six weeks until the water lines are completed.
A 24 hour temporary closure of the parking lot EAST of Surf Rider Restaurant is needed to install the east water line that will service the Surf Rider and the piers. The specific date of the closure is yet to be determined. We will notify the members of the exact date so that they can park their vehicles west of the work area. Please keep an eye out for more information from our Administration Office.
Last week, we informed members of a temporary power shut off. We have now been updated that this has been delayed. A three hour (3hr) electric shut-off is now planned for the end of February through the first of March. We will clarify the exact dates as construction progresses.

Shoreline Catering first got its start as a wedding caterer at The Yacht Club at Marina Shores. They enjoyed catering weddings, engagements parties, birthdays and retirement parties during their time at the venue and even developed a local fan following.
Now, that The Yacht Club is permanently closed, Shoreline Catering would like to remind you that they are still offering their fan favorites for private in-home events.
For your next birthday, reunion, or any catered celebration, please consider Shoreline Catering and call us to discuss dates and menu options.

Our waters in Virginia Beach, rarely get cold enough to freeze on Long Creek so we are lucky to be able to maintain running water throughout the majority of winter. However, there are some cold spells throughout the season that warrant some precautionary measures.
If temperatures are forecasted to be at or below freezing, our policy is to temporarily shut off the water valves to the docks to prevent pipes from bursting. An email notice is sent out to active members when these shut-offs are scheduled. We also try to remind boaters to fill up their water tanks regularly during the winter months in case there is an emergency shut off. Water to the pool restrooms remain on during these drops in temperature so please feel free to continue to use these restrooms during winter.
Bicycles: Please use the bike racks to store your bikes. DO NOT store bikes at the entrance to the dock ramps. Bikes found at the entrance to ramps are subject to confiscation.
Boat Referrals = $$$: Remember fans, if you refer a boater you earn up to $200 CASH! Membership not required to be eligible for reward.
Fuel Containers: Due to environmental regulations the EPA prohibits you from fueling your boat with outside containers.
Late Fees: Be sure to pay your dockage by the 5th of each month to avoid the 18% late fee and red tag fee ($75).
Lock Your Dock: Marina Shores is the only Marina in the area with locking gates to each dock. Please be sure to lock the gate each time you enter or leave your dock. If you need access or forget your key you can come to the administrative office or talk to any staff member. If you see someone you don’t know on the dock please let a Marina Staff member know or call 496.7000.
