Through the years, friends in jest, have suggested I should take a Chill Pill. I found my time on the boat immediately relaxing and peaceful. So naming my new boat Chill Pill seemed apropos.
Blessed. From sun rise to sunset. The water all about me, the gentle roll of the boat, the open sky. Love it! I am blessed every day I have had on Chill Pill.
I have done numerous cruises in the southern Chesapeake Bay and the ICW. Two years ago, I was very fortunate, that Chill Pill was part of the official Parade of Sail with the tall ships from all over the world. It was the kickoff to Harborfest 2011. Very cool experience! Lots of nice memories and made lots of new boating friends.
That the Siverton 351 sedan is designed for comfort. I enjoy the large sliding glass door leading into the main salon. The large number of windows that provide an amazing amount of natural light. With views from all angles. I am spoiled by a separate enclosed shower with an oversized shower head. The boat is well equipped with all modern creature comforts and conveniences. Designed well for a weekend getaway, long range cruising or living aboard.
Yes. Teddey (Ted) Callis is certainly the best First Mate ever. Ted and I have been together now for a little over 10 years. He is also a great navigator when we are out and about on our dinghy Chillin’. A true love of mine. He is a bubby and a pal. Teddey Callis can be found on Facebook. Where pictures and journals of his high seas adventures are kept.
Arrrr…. what good pirate would not have a parrot? I do have a parrot on board. Her name is Ishe. She is a Alexandrine parrot. Ishe has just turned 19. We have been together since she was 3 months. Ishe is not a talker. Though the Alexandrine is one of the top 10 talking parrots. She is trained completely to verbal and hand commands. And is potty trained to a T stand. Now that is impressive! She has a very sweet spirit and disposition. She is good with all who handle her. If I am home she is either out on her cage or on my shoulder. Nature calls! Ishe is currently preparing to lay her annual clutch. Usually 2 to 3 eggs. No baby birds, her eggs are not fertile.
Yes I have reservations at Tidewater Yacht for Harborfest. For the 4th of July I will going to York River Yacht Haven and Riverwalk Pier Landing. Additionally planning a number of short day cruises to the bay. Just drop anchor, do some swimming and grilling.
My job does involve coupon advertising/marketing. I work with the Farm Fresh, Harris Teeter, Kroger and Food Lion grocery chains doing their coupon marketing programs with local businesses. Obviously today in our economy, people are looking for bargains and discounts. Coupons serve as an incentive to spend money with a particular business verses their competitor. I think using any coupon is smart. We all want to feel like we got the best for less. For advertising information with any of these grocery chains please contact me at 757-632-1197.
It would probably be Charleston, SC. I love the low country of SC. Charleston is an amazing city. There are great waterways to explore and is on the ICW for cruising.
I am still fairly new here to Marina Shores. However, I have enjoyed working with management. I like the sense of security provided with locked gates. I have enjoyed our monthly socials getting to know other members. I am looking forward to meeting more new folks as we move into season. Looks like our remodeled pool will be lovely to enjoy a cool dip in when the heat of summer arrives. I like the tropical feeling and well landscaped grounds here at Marina Shores. I enjoy the convenience of being close to Hilltop shopping, the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic oceanfront. I look forward to seeing the continued improvements that Marina Shores has planned to make our boating experience here second to none in Hampton Roads!
